XI Tarptautinis muzikos festivalis
Le strade d'Europa
2019
The XI International Festival, 'Le strade d'Europa', has become an Italian-Lithuanian tradition that unites the whole of Europe through music.
The programme of the last 10th edition, held in 2018, highlighted the new generation of instrumentalists and composers from seven countries - Lithuania, Poland, Belarus, Italy, the United States, Taiwan and Turkey. This year, the festival focuses on concerts by Lithuanian artists in close synergy with Italian realities, consolidating prestigious collaborations with leading musicians on the European scene. The meeting of different generations and musical cultures is the main theme of the festival, which this year will take place in the towns of L'Aquila and Gallese.
The eleventh edition offers a particularly rich stylistic variety, ranging from the great masters of russian repertoire performed by the duo Gleb Pyšniak - Gintaras Januševičius to the stylistic contaminations of AcrossDuo with the programme "VivaldInJazz", an unprecedented interpretation of Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Finally, in keeping with the festival's tradition of promoting young talent, a concert by the winner of the 21st EUTERPE International Piano Competition, Lithuanian pianist Julija Sadaunykaitė.
The International Festival 'Le strade d'Europa' is organised by music association 'Musica Vitale', with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Italy and the Municipality of Gallese. The festival is also made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Società Aquilana dei concerti 'B. Barattelli', the Museum and Cultural Centre 'Marco Scacchi' of Gallese and the music association 'EUTERPE' of Corato.
